‘Indian Idol’ is all set to celebrate its diamond jubilee with a special episode that will bring back some of the show’s most loved former contestants. The episode will be filled with music, memories, and emotional moments as singers from different seasons reunite on one stage.
According to a Sony Entertainment TV press release, the special celebration will feature popular names like Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Prajakta Shukre, Sreerama Chandra, Asees Kaur, Salman Ali, Ashish Kulkarni, Md. Danish, Pawandeep Rajan, Shanmukhapriya, Nihal Tauro, Vaibhav Gupta, Sneha Shankar and Manasi Ghosh.
Sawant, the winner of the first season, said ‘Indian Idol’ completely changed his life. He shared that returning to the show after so many years is an emotional experience because it was the place where his singing career began.
Kaur said that even though she was eliminated from the show, the experience encouraged her to work harder and helped her achieve her dream of becoming a Bollywood singer. She thanked ‘Indian Idol’ for giving many singers a platform to follow their dreams.
Shukre said the show gave her the confidence to build a career in music, while Sana shared that coming back to the ‘Indian Idol’ stage brought back many happy memories from his journey on the show.
The diamond jubilee special will include emotional reunions, popular performances, and stories from former contestants as they celebrate the show’s long journey and its contribution to Indian music.
