IndiaCast, the content monetization arm of TV18 and Viacom18, has appointed TV distribution veteran Piyush Goyal as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will report to Network18’s MD Rahul Joshi.
Goyal will work closely with the Network18 Group’s operating heads of TV News, Entertainment and Sports in his new post.
He was previously EVP and Head of Key Accounts at Star India, where he was responsible for major Multi System Operators (MSOs) and DTH platforms. Goyal has worked for organizations such as Star India, Network18, NDTV, and DEN Networks during his 20-year career, according to the Economic Times.
Commenting on his new role, Piyush Goyal stated, “I am extremely thrilled and look forward to spearheading Indiacast. It’s a homecoming for me at Indiacast after 10 years. With the ever-changing landscape in the media industry, there could not have been a better time to be part of this vibrant and fastest-growing media conglomerate.”
