TV9 Network’s ambitious initiative, the News9 Global Summit UAE 2025, concluded on a high note in Dubai on June 19, 2025, setting a new benchmark for bilateral engagement between India and the United Arab Emirates.
Held at the iconic Taj Dubai under the theme ‘India–UAE: Partnership for Prosperity & Progress’, the event brought together over 40 influential speakers and 300 high-profile delegates from both countries, reflecting the growing diplomatic, economic, and cultural synergy between the two nations.
According to a News9 Plus press release, the Summit featured an immersive lineup of thought leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, cultural icons, and celebrities, all engaging in dialogue on future-ready themes like CEPA trade acceleration, artificial intelligence, and digital content’s global rise. The keynote address was delivered by India’s Union Minister for Oil & Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, who underlined the strategic significance of energy collaboration, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the India–UAE dynamic. “This Summit reflects not just our current partnership, but a shared vision for an interconnected and innovative tomorrow,” he said, lauding TV9 Network’s platform.
HE Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Under Secretary at the UAE Ministry of Economy, pointed to the fast-growing bilateral trade which is racing toward the $100 billion mark. “Platforms like this turn vision into partnerships,” he said, emphasizing the role of forums like the News9 Global Summit in enabling real-world collaboration. India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Shri Sunjay Sudhir, echoed these sentiments, speaking of the deepening engagement across diplomacy, trade, and diaspora outreach.
Adding a spiritual dimension, Pujya Brahmavihari Swami of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha drew on India and UAE’s civilizational ties. The construction of the Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi, he noted, is a testament to shared values of harmony and mutual respect.
Barun Das, MD & CEO of TV9 Network, hailed the summit as a milestone moment. “Dubai embraced the News9 Global Summit UAE with unmatched energy. This partnership goes beyond strategy—it’s emotional, cultural, and forward-looking,” he remarked, promising continued engagement in the region.
The day was not just about business and policy—it was charged with creative energy. Actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi spoke passionately about merging purpose with profit in a riveting TED-style talk. Bollywood stars Suniel Shetty, Ektaa R. Kapoor, and Nargis Fakhri offered candid insights on cinema, entrepreneurship, and transformation in special duologues with Barun Das. Kapoor’s comments on embracing criticism and reinvention, and Shetty’s reflections on fitness, startups, and Brand India drew particular applause.
The summit’s content-rich panels ranged from startup cross-collaborations and AI-driven innovation to cultural influence via OTT platforms. The session titled ‘Streaming Stars, Screaming Success’ captured the rising global profile of Indian content creators and storytellers.
Backed by a strong sponsor ecosystem, including Buimerc as the Patron, associate sponsors De Beers, TATA AIG Insurance, and NECC, the event also featured support from brands like Classmate, JK Super Cement, Hanok, and Womenpreneur Magazine. SKIL Travels, SOIL, and Sita Vatika supported the travel and cultural segments. Famous Studios and Khaleej Times amplified the summit’s entertainment and media presence, while the Indian People’s Forum (Abu Dhabi) served as the Diaspora Partner.
The News9 Global Summit UAE 2025 has reinforced TV9 Network’s growing clout as a convener of cross-border dialogues, making the media group a vital player in global Indian discourse.
