In a significant leap towards ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India,’ IIT Kanpur and Saankhya Labs are set to organize the 5G Broadcast Summit on January 16, 2023, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The summit aims to explore the transformative potential of Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) broadcasting, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a self-reliant India.
High-profile speakers, including Amitabh Kant (IAS), Tarun Kapoor (IAS), Apurva Chandra (IAS), S. Krishnan (IAS), Neeraj Mittal (IAS), and Prof. Abhay Karandikar, will address the summit. Policy experts and industry representatives from broadcasting and telecom sectors will also contribute insights.

Discussions will cover the opportunities and challenges in the Broadcasting and Telecommunication sector.
Focusing on D2M broadcasting technology, developed collaboratively by Saankhya Labs and IIT Kanpur, the summit underscores its potential to revolutionize mobile broadcasting. Leveraging terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure and assigned spectrum, the technology transmits video, audio, and data signals directly to compatible mobile and smart devices.
