In a significant development for Chinese tech giant Huawei, research firms are predicting that the company is set to overcome the US ban by reintroducing 5G-enabled smartphones into the market.

Huawei faced a severe setback when it was blacklisted by the United States government in 2019 due to security concerns. The ban restricted the company’s access to essential technologies and components, including Google services and semiconductor chips from American suppliers. As a result, Huawei’s smartphone sales and market share outside of China plummeted, Reuters reported.
However, recent reports suggest that Huawei has made substantial progress in mitigating the ban’s impact and is poised for a comeback. Industry research firms have pointed out that Huawei has managed to develop its operating system and secure alternative chip suppliers, allowing the company to reenter the 5G smartphone market.
