The SatCab Symposium 2023, an Aavishkar Media Group initiative, is back with some new TV and video content industry topics and a stellar lineup of speakers from across the media spectrum.
Themed ‘Is the future of the Indian Broadcasting Sector at stake now?’, the event was held in New Delhi on January 16 in front of a packed hall.
The day-long conference covered topics such as linear broadcasting, the future of DTH, the future of news broadcasting, and the regulatory landscape of the broadcasting sector.
The keynote, special, and valedictory addresses were delivered by senior policymakers and regulators from MIB, BECIL, and STPI, all of whom assuaged many industry concerns.
Simultaneously, stakeholders shared their perspectives on the evolving landscape of the M&E industry, ranging from cable TV to technology to streaming to the news, and particularly the creeping regulations.
The Industry Keynote was delivered by Sanjiv Shankar, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. George Kuruvilla, CMD, BECIL, and Arvind Kumar, DG, STPI, delivered the Special and Valedictory addresses, respectively.
