Google TV Freeplay has expanded its free entertainment library, with more than 10,000 movies and shows now available on demand without a subscription.
According to a Google blog post yesterday, the platform has also expanded its live TV offering to more than 300 free channels covering news, sports, reality TV, true crime and other categories.
The on demand library includes titles from studios such as A24 and Lionsgate. Viewers can watch movies and shows including ‘Lady Bird’, ‘Seventeen Again’ and ‘Hell’s Kitchen’. Google said the library will continue to be updated throughout the year.
Freeplay has also added new live channels, including World of Love Island, Bloomberg TV+, Yahoo Sports Network and The Martha Stewart Channel.
The service is available without a subscription, with its live channels and on-demand content supported by advertising. Google said Freeplay is currently available on Google TV devices in the US only.
