Actor R. Madhavan’s upcoming biographical film ‘GDN‘ will now release in theatres worldwide on August 7, 2026. The makers announced the new release date on Friday by sharing a new poster of the film on social media.
According to an ANI report, the movie was earlier scheduled to release on July 18, but its release has now been postponed.
Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, ‘GDN’ is based on the life of G.D. Naidu, one of India’s greatest inventors and industrialists, who is often called the ‘Edison of India’ for his remarkable contributions to science and technology.
R. Madhavan plays the role of G.D. Naidu in the film. The cast also includes Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan in important roles.
The film is expected to showcase Naidu’s journey, his innovations and the challenges he faced while making a name for himself.
Sharing the new release date, the makers described the film as the story of a man whose passion and determination left a lasting legacy. ‘GDN’ will now hit theatres across the world on August 7, 2026.
