The makers of director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s much-awaited horror thriller ‘Demonte Colony 3’, starring Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead, have unveiled the film’s first look poster to ring in the New Year. The reveal has further heightened anticipation around the third instalment of the popular supernatural franchise, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release later this year.
According to an IANS report, expectations from ‘Demonte Colony 3’ remain high, especially after the strong box office performance of the first two films in the series. The franchise has steadily built a loyal audience base, and the new chapter promises to raise the stakes with a larger scale and deeper storytelling.
Producer Sudhan Sundaram of Passion Studios expressed confidence in the project, saying the film is shaping up to exceed expectations. He noted that beginning 2026 with ‘Demonte Colony 3’ feels particularly promising and credited director Ajay Gnanamuthu for his discipline and ability to deliver on schedule without compromising creative quality. Sundaram also highlighted Arulnithi’s unwavering commitment as the anchor of the franchise and hinted that several actors from the second part return with more layered character arcs and heightened dramatic tension.
Director Ajay Gnanamuthu described the release of the first look as a special moment for fans of the franchise. He acknowledged the producer’s constant support, stating that while there is complete creative freedom, the project remains cohesive and well-rounded. The filmmaker also praised Arulnithi, adding that while audiences have already seen the actor’s range in the earlier films, the third instalment pushes him even further.
Written and directed by Gnanamuthu, ‘Demonte Colony 3’ reunites Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, along with Meenakshi Govindarajan, Archana Ravichandran, Muthukumar and others in key roles. Production began in July 2025, and the film is currently in post-production, with the team targeting a summer 2026 release.
