Media professional Divya Parkhi has joined WPP Media as Client Lead, marking a new phase in her career spanning over a decade in media planning, strategy and client leadership. She confirmed the development through a LinkedIn post, stating that she took on the new role in December 2025 and is currently based in Maharashtra.
Parkhi moves to WPP Media after a four-year stint at GroupM, where she served as Senior Director – Planning from August 2021 to December 2025. During her tenure, she was closely involved in strategic media planning and leadership assignments across key client portfolios.
Before that, she held multiple roles within the GroupM network. Parkhi worked as Group Manager at Lodestar UM between August 2020 and July 2021, and earlier spent more than three years at Wavemaker as Business Manager from January 2017 to August 2020. Her responsibilities during this phase included managing integrated media strategies and strengthening client relationships.
Her professional journey also includes a stint at MediaCom, where she was Senior Business Manager from October 2015 to December 2016, handling media business for brands such as Skoda, CarWale, Wyeth and Siemens. Prior to this, she worked at OMD as Media Manager – Planning between May 2012 and April 2015.
Parkhi began her career in media research and planning, working as a Research Associate at Star India (now Disney Star), contributing to research for Star World. She also served as an On Air Scheduling and Research Consultant at Sony Entertainment Television, and started her professional journey as a Media Planning Trainee at Mudra Communications in Ahmedabad.
With her extensive experience across media research, planning and client leadership roles, Parkhi’s appointment as Client Lead is expected to further strengthen WPP Media’s client engagement and strategic capabilities.
