Disney’s ‘Zootopia2’ is now the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association (MPA) film of all time, having just surpassed ‘Inside Out2’. This milestone also makes Walt Disney Animation Studios’ movie the #9 biggest film in history worldwide.

The two ‘Zootopia’ films have delivered a combined global box office total exceeding $2.73 billion to date, The Walt Disney Company said in a media statement.
The Walt Disney Studios, according to the statement, have released the top three animated MPA releases that include ‘Zootopia2’ (#1), Pixar’s ‘Inside Out2’ (#2) and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘Frozen2’ (#3)
Some additional highlights about ‘Zootopia2’ include the fact its global gross till now amounts to $1.703 billion ($390 million domestic / $1.313 billion international); it’s the #1 global MPA release of 2025 and the top global MPA release of all time in China ($619 million to date), apaprt from being the ninth top global film of all time.
‘Zootopia2’ opened on November 26, 2025 to a record-breaking $559.5 million in five days, becoming the highest global animated opening of all time, the highest global debut of 2025, and the highest global opening for any animated film in Disney history, the Disney statement said.
