Disney+ Hotstar has announced the release of ‘Kerala Crime Files’, its first Malayalam web series, as part of its Hotstar Specials offering.
This crime series aims to enthrall viewers with gripping stories set against the backdrop of Kerala. Each season will feature a different crime story, giving the series a distinct flavor.
The first season stars actors Lal and Aju Varghese in lead roles, highlighting their acting abilities. Viewers will be taken on an intense journey of crime and investigation as the plot unfolds, leaving them on the edge of their seats.
Rahul Riji Nair (First Print Studios) handles production, and Ahammed Khabeer, a young and promising director, directs. Aashiq Aimar will write the script, Jithin Stanislaus will handle the cinematography, Hesham Abdul Wahab will compose the music, Prathap Raveendran will design the production, and Mahesh Bhuvanendar will edit.
Ahammed Khabeer believes that the longer run time of a web series has allowed him to explore the nuances of the lead characters and build a stronger storyline centered on their journey, resulting in a much more engaging and impactful narrative.
