Anil Anand, the content head for India’s DTH platform Dish TV’s streaming app Watcho, passed away yesterday morning, according to social media posts from family members.
Anand, who had been associated with India’s homegrown media conglomerate Zee group for over two decades, had served in senior positions in various group companies, including Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd and MSO Siti Cable. Before heading Watcho, he was serving in Dish TV.
A media industry veteran, Anand was a friendly person with an outgoing nature that endeared him to quickly people around him.
