Actor Diljit Dosanjh’s first look as an Air Force officer from the much-awaited sequel ‘Border 2’ was unveiled on Monday, giving fans a powerful glimpse into the Anurag Singh-directed film.
The movie serves as a follow-up to JP Dutta’s 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’, which remains one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated war dramas.
According to a PTI report, the newly released poster captures Diljit in an intense combat moment inside an aircraft. He is seen seated in the cockpit, with visible injuries on his face and hands as enemy fire rages around him. The visual sets a gripping tone for the film’s narrative, suggesting a high-stakes depiction of the Indian Air Force and its role during wartime.
The makers released the poster with a striking caption that reads, “Iss desh ke aasmaan mein Guru ke baaz pehra dete hain.” Diljit’s fierce expression, combined with the atmospheric backdrop of war, has already created strong buzz among audiences eagerly awaiting the sequel.
‘Border 2’ brings together a fresh cast under the direction of Anurag Singh, known for his impactful storytelling and larger-than-life frames.
The sequel is positioned as a contemporary retelling inspired by true events, aiming to honour the courage and sacrifice of India’s armed forces while carrying forward the legacy of the original classic.
The film is slated to release in cinemas on January 23, 2026, and with the unveiling of Diljit’s first look, anticipation around the project has surged further. Fans and industry watchers now await more character reveals and teasers in the coming months, as “Border 2” gears up to be one of the most significant war films of the decade.
