Viewers who missed ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ on the big screen will soon get a chance to enjoy the romantic comedy from the comfort of their homes, as the film is set for its World Television Premiere on Zee Cinema on May 24.
Featuring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan in lead roles, the film promises a blend of humour, romance, family drama and emotional moments that appeal to audiences across age groups.
According to a UNI report, the sequel takes the story forward with a fresh set of challenges, misunderstandings and family dynamics. Directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar along with Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film also features Meezaan Jafri, Javed Jaffrey, Ishita Dutta and Gautami Kapoor in key roles.
The story follows NRI Ashish Mehra, played by Ajay Devgn, who travels to India to seek acceptance from the parents of his much younger girlfriend Ayesha, portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh. However, things become increasingly complicated when Ayesha’s father, played by R. Madhavan, strongly opposes the relationship due to the significant age difference. What follows is a series of comic situations, emotional confrontations and unexpected twists as love clashes with family expectations.
Speaking about the film, Devgn described ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ as a story packed with emotions, relationships and entertaining situations that families can enjoy together. R. Madhavan said his character’s protective nature as a father adds both drama and humour to the narrative, while Rakul Preet Singh noted that the film balances comedy with relatable themes of family acceptance and personal choices.
