Convergence India Expo 2026 to spotlight AI, telecom, digital infrastructure

New Delhi is set to host the Convergence India Expo, one of the country’s longest-running technology showcases, bringing together stakeholders from government, industry, academia and startups to discuss the next phase of India’s digital transformation. Scheduled to be held in March 2026, the three-day event is expected to witness participation from over 50,000 visitors and leading global technology players.

According to a press release, at a time when India is rapidly scaling its digital economy, the expo will focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud computing, IoT and smart infrastructure. The event comes amid a strong push from policy frameworks and industry investments aimed at positioning India as a global hub for digital innovation and AI infrastructure.

A key highlight of this year’s edition will be the AI Bharat Expo, which will showcase the transformative potential of artificial intelligence across sectors including healthcare, agriculture, climate resilience and governance. The platform is expected to foster collaboration between policymakers, researchers, startups and enterprises working in the AI ecosystem.

The event will also feature a keynote address by Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission. His address is likely to outline India’s roadmap for building scalable AI infrastructure and strengthening the country’s position in the global digital landscape.

Discussions at the expo will revolve around some of the most pressing industry challenges, including bridging the data centre capacity gap, enabling AI-ready infrastructure through advanced computing technologies such as GPUs and high-density systems, and balancing hyperscale data centre expansion with edge computing for real-time applications.

With sustainability becoming a key concern, sessions will also explore the growing shift towards green data centres, particularly in renewable energy-rich regions, and the role of policy frameworks in encouraging environmentally responsible infrastructure development.

The expo will see participation from major global and domestic technology companies including Google, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Zoho, among others. A dedicated telematics zone and live technology demonstrations are expected to provide hands-on insights into next-generation solutions.

Over the years, Convergence India Expo has evolved into a key platform for industry dialogue and innovation showcase, reflecting the convergence of telecom, IT and broadcasting sectors. The 2026 edition is expected to further strengthen its role as a catalyst for partnerships, knowledge exchange and business opportunities.

As India continues to expand its digital infrastructure and AI capabilities, the expo arrives at a crucial moment, offering a comprehensive view of the technologies, policies and investments shaping the country’s digital future.
