Content India 2026 wrapped up successfully, bringing together over 700 participants from India and international markets for three days of discussions, collaboration, and insights into the evolving content ecosystem.
According to a press release, the summit—organised by Dish TV India in partnership with C21Media—served as a key platform for industry leaders, creators and filmmakers to explore emerging trends shaping both Indian and global content markets.
The event saw extensive conversations around content strategy, international formats, financing models, technology and the creator economy. Industry experts examined how global formats are being adapted for Indian audiences, alongside the increasing role of venture capital and private equity in entertainment. Discussions also highlighted the growing fragmentation of audiences and platforms, pushing the need for more targeted and innovative storytelling approaches.
Across its three-day agenda, the summit delved into the rise of digital-first content, the growing popularity of micro-drama and vertical storytelling formats, and the integration of artificial intelligence in content production. Speakers shared insights into commissioning strategies, co-production opportunities, monetisation models and evolving audience engagement dynamics.
The event featured participation from leading names across the industry, including Shilangi Mukherji, Anuj Gandhi, Deepak Dhar, Fiona Campbell, Sahira Nair, Rajaraman Sundaram, Sai Abishek, Vishnu Mohta, Tarun Sawhney, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Tanya Bami, Richie Mehta, Sameer Nair, Arjun Nohwar, Niharika Pande and Aruna Daryanani, among others.
Two key highlights of the summit included the Content India Copro Pitch, where creators presented new scripted and unscripted concepts to an international jury, and a Writers Room Masterclass led by Frank Spotnitz, offering insights into the craft of storytelling and television writing.
Commenting on the conclusion of the event, Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director, Dish TV India, said the summit reflected the energy and ambition within the Indian content ecosystem. He noted that with creators, platforms and investors coming together, Indian storytelling is entering a new phase of growth with strong global potential.
With a blend of creative and business-focused discussions, Content India 2026 reinforced its position as a key industry platform, fostering collaboration across the content value chain and connecting Indian storytelling with global opportunities.
