COLORS Gujarati is set to elevate entertainment standards with its latest offering, the United States of Gujarat, premiering on July 15, 2024. This new show promises to deliver ‘Assal Gujarati Nu Assal Entertainment’ (Authentic Gujarati Real Entertainment) by weaving stories that are deeply rooted in the vibrant culture and rich traditions of Gujarat.
The recently unveiled promo introduces audiences to Kay, played by Sana Shaikh, who embarks on a heartfelt journey to discover her roots.
This journey aims to reunite her mother Yamuna, played by Ami Trivedi, with her grandmother Baa, portrayed by Ragini Shah. The show promises to blend perfect family drama with cultural exploration, offering a rich tapestry of relationships and emotions.
United State of Gujarat will explore different family dynamics and highlight the blossoming of a new “khatta meetha” (bittersweet) connection between Kay and Keshav, played by Raj Anadkat. This evolving relationship is set to provide guaranteed entertainment, blending tradition with heartfelt emotions in the narrative of ‘Vatt Thi Gujarati v/s Dil Thi Gujarati’ (From the roots Gujarati vs. From the heart Gujarati).
Sana Shaikh, who plays the role of Kay, shared her excitement, “Kay is a character I personally resonate with, especially her strong roots in Gujarati culture and beliefs. We share many similarities – creativity, facing challenges, and embracing modernity while staying grounded. I am confident that United State of Gujarat will be a good family entertainer that our Gujarati families will love.”
The show will air from Monday to Sunday at 8:00 pm on COLORS Gujarati, starting July 15, 2024.
With its promise of authentic entertainment and culturally rich storytelling, United States of Gujarat is poised to become a beloved addition to Gujarati television, celebrating the unique essence of Gujarat through its narrative.
