CNN’s new series ‘Bold Pursuits’ will investigate the groundbreaking innovations and solutions that are revolutionizing the modern world.
The TV and digital series will meet the next generation of developers at universities, laboratories, testing facilities, and research hubs around the world that are working to change the future as we know it.
The first of three episodes, which will air on Saturday, May 20, examines the threats to the oceans, ranging from the harmful effects of CO2 and desalination plants to the dangers of microplastics and overfishing.
Viewers will discover how today’s brightest minds are working to overcome enormous challenges.
The first episode will look at how Abu Dhabi researchers are investing in solutions to the emirate’s unique set of problems, such as desertification and invasive species. It will also look into other initiatives, collaborations, and inventions from around the world, such as those at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Columbia University.
