CNBC-TV18 is set to introduce a new flagship on-ground property, ‘CNBC-TV18 Market Forum: The Alpha Generators for 2026’, bringing together some of India’s most credible and influential voices from the markets, banking, and macroeconomic space.
The invitation-only conclave will be held in Mumbai on January 13, 2026, and aims to decode where alpha will be created in the year ahead amid a rapidly shifting global and domestic market environment.
As per a press release issued by the network, the Market Forum is envisioned as a high-impact platform that goes beyond near-term market predictions to focus on deeper trends, structural shifts, and long-term investment strategies. With markets recalibrating to changing capital flows, policy realignments, and evolving growth dynamics, the forum seeks to provide clarity on how investors can navigate volatility and identify meaningful wealth creation opportunities.
The evening will begin with a keynote conversation featuring Manish Chokhani, Director at Enam Holdings, in discussion with Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman and Co-Founder of Motilal Oswal Financial Services. This will be followed by an in-depth conversation between Raamdeo Agrawal and Sanjay Agarwal, MD & CEO of AU Small Finance Bank, focusing on the bank’s multi-bagger journey and its growth roadmap going forward.
A key highlight of the forum will be a CIO panel discussion on the market outlook for 2026, especially in the context of the past 15–18 months that have tested investor patience across broader markets. The panel will include Sandeep Tandon, Founder and CIO of Quant Mutual Fund; Taher Badshah, CIO at Invesco Mutual Fund; and Neelesh Surana, CIO of Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India). The discussion will centre on identifying pockets of opportunity and strategies for generating alpha in the next market cycle.
The forum will also feature a macroeconomic conversation focusing on key economic trends and Budget expectations. This session will bring together Neelkanth Mishra, Chief Economist at Axis Bank and Head of Global Research at Axis Capital; Sajjid Chinoy, Head of Asia Economic Research at JPMorgan; and Saion Mukherjee, Managing Director and Head of India Equity Research at Nomura India, offering a comprehensive view across asset classes and sectors.
Commenting on the launch, Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18, said the Market Forum is aimed at identifying where alpha is being created before it becomes obvious. She noted that in an environment marked by volatility and shifting global equations, long-term wealth creation requires clarity of thought, strong frameworks, and conviction-led decision-making.
Smriti Mehra, CEO – English & Business News at Network18, said the forum has been designed as a high-impact platform that brings together the most credible voices shaping India’s investment ecosystem, with a focus on depth, trust, and relevance for evolving investor needs.
The CNBC-TV18 Market Forum is partnered by Mirae Asset Mutual Fund and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, with Reliance Industries coming on board as an Associate Partner, reinforcing the network’s push to build purpose-led platforms that offer meaningful and forward-looking market conversations.
