Radio and audio entertainment network Mirchi has appointed Chandan Das as Vice President and Business Director for Karnataka, strengthening its leadership as it sharpens its focus on integrated, platform-led growth in the region. Das will be based in Bengaluru and has taken charge from December 2025, with end-to-end profit and loss responsibility across Mirchi’s five radio stations in the state.
In his new role, Das will drive growth across content, digital monetisation and brand solutions, with a strong focus on Mirchi’s data-led digital audio and video monetisation platform, MPing. His mandate also includes expanding social ecosystems, deepening brand partnerships and scaling experiential activations, while building solutions that sit at the intersection of content, commerce and communities.
Das brings over a decade of experience across large media and consumer-facing organisations. Before joining Mirchi, he was Director – Digital and TV Revenue Generation (South) at JioStar, where he led monetisation efforts across television and digital properties in the southern markets.
Earlier, he spent more than 10 years with Disney Star in various leadership roles, including Region Head – South and East. In this role, he managed large advertising revenue portfolios across general entertainment and movie channels, contributing to the network’s growth across key regional markets.
Over the course of his career, Das has also worked with organisations such as HT Media, Info Edge India, Lakme Lever and Bharti AXA Life Insurance, giving him wide exposure to media, digital platforms, consumer brands and sales leadership.
With Das’s appointment, Mirchi aims to further strengthen its Karnataka operations by leveraging his experience in revenue strategy, digital monetisation and integrated brand solutions, as the company continues to evolve beyond radio into a multi-platform audio and entertainment network.
