Castrol India Limited has joined hands with TV9 Network to introduce the ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ initiative, aligning with their recent campaign, ‘#BadhteRahoAagey.’
This purpose-driven endeavor aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit and enhance the professional capabilities of truck drivers across India, targeting over 100,000 individuals.
As per a press release, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated the campaign alongside Sandeep Sangwan, Managing Director of Castrol India Limited, and Raktim Das, Chief Growth Officer of TV9 Network. Praising the initiative, Minister Gadkari emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and progress of truck drivers, applauding Castrol India for their efforts in raising awareness and empowering truckers to move forward.
The initiative, under ‘Pragati Ki Paathshaala,’ involves a two-and-a-half-month journey on specially designed trucks covering diverse routes across India’s four regions. En route, truck drivers will engage in interactive sessions focused on Driving Safety, Truck Ownership, New Technology, and Business Profitability to empower them in their endeavors.
Sandeep Sangwan highlighted the initiative’s focus on upskilling over 10,000 truck drivers among the 100,000 targeted, aiming to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among truckers who often operate independently or within unorganized fleets. The campaign seeks to steer them towards progress and success in line with the idea of #BadhteRahoAagey.
The campaign has also garnered support from Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, known for his philanthropy. Sood, endorsing the noble cause as the campaign ambassador, lauded the truck drivers’ tireless efforts and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities for growth provided by ‘Pragati Ki Paathshaala.’
TV9 Network, a staunch advocate for the trucking community, reaffirms its commitment to empowering truck drivers through this partnership. Raktim Das emphasized the importance of upskilling amidst India’s evolving automotive landscape, aiming to equip truck drivers with essential knowledge for their advancement.
The ‘Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ campaign underscores a collaborative effort to empower and uplift India’s trucking community, acknowledging their pivotal role in the nation’s economy and striving to provide them with the tools for a brighter future.
