Marking yet another impactful milestone in its public service journey, BIG FM concluded the third season of its award-winning campaign ‘Sutta Chhod De Na Yaar’ on World No Tobacco Day 2025. With the theme ‘When you quit smoking, good things start to happen’, this season carried a deeper focus—transforming intention into tangible action by offering support and healing to individuals committed to quitting tobacco for good.
As per a press release, at the heart of this year’s initiative was ‘Quitsvilla’, a thoughtfully curated on-ground wellness retreat held at The Fern Shelter Resort in Palghar, the campaign’s official Hospitality Partner. Over three immersive days, individuals who had pledged to quit tobacco came together in a nurturing space for self-reflection, therapy, and growth.
Supported by Dewon Electric, the retreat featured healing experiences ranging from Sound Therapy by Sarita Pataodia, Dance Movement Therapy by Shruti Ganesh and Shruti Suvarna of Ang Tarang, Music Healing by Sujataa Chakraborty, to Zumba with celebrity coach Aishwarya, Laughter Yoga with Kishore Kuvavala, and even Motivational Illusions by Mangesh Desai. The sessions were led by BIG FM’s popular RJs — RJ Vrajesh, RJ Rani, RJ Abhilash, and RJ Dilip — each anchoring the emotional and therapeutic energy of the event.
An inspiring highlight was a talk by Vinay Rao, Executive Director of Dewon Electric, whose personal insights and global life experiences resonated deeply with the participants, reinforcing the idea that change is not only possible but sustainable.
Beyond the retreat, the campaign’s digital and on-air extensions played a crucial role in expanding its impact. A compelling podcast series hosted by RJ Sahil and RJ Dilip featured moving stories from people who had triumphed over tobacco addiction. These episodes were enriched by expert discussions on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and actionable wellness advice from thought leaders like Rajyogi BK Nikunj and Ashdin Doctor (The Habit Coach™). Adding further momentum, popular voices from the entertainment industry — including Tusshar Kapoor, Papon, Sulaiman Merchant, Shankar Mahadevan, and Emraan Hashmi — lent their support, urging audiences across platforms to commit to a smoke-free life.
Speaking about the campaign’s deeper mission, Sunil Kumaran, COO, BIG FM, said, “This campaign has always been about more than just quitting a habit. ‘Sutta Chhod De Na Yaar’ Season 3 is about giving people the belief that change is possible and providing them with the support to see it through. Through initiatives like Quitsvilla and meaningful content across platforms, we’ve helped people connect with their own strength.”
The campaign also sparked massive engagement across radio and digital channels. With powerful reels, RJ-led storytelling, and a catchy original jingle, ‘Sutta Chhod De Na Yaar’ Season 3 didn’t just raise awareness — it ignited a movement. It brought together science, emotion, and entertainment to show that quitting tobacco isn’t just an individual effort; it’s a shared journey of transformation and support.
