Music duo Banjaare, comprising brothers Sumit and Anuj, have released their latest single ‘Barsaat’. According to a Sony Music India press release, the song continues the emotional story that began with their hit track ‘Bairan’, one of India’s biggest independent music successes.
Unlike ‘Bairan’, which told the story from the man’s perspective, ‘Barsaat’ presents the woman’s side of the same love story. The song explores emotions, love, heartbreak and feelings that were left unspoken in the earlier track.
Speaking about the release, Banjaare said they never expected ‘Bairan’ to receive such a huge response from listeners across India and around the world. They added that ‘Barsaat’ completes the story by giving a voice to the other perspective while maintaining the same honesty and emotional connection.
‘Barsaat’ reflects Banjaare’s signature style of creating emotional and meaningful music. The duo said they want to continue telling stories that connect with listeners through heartfelt lyrics and melodies.
