Asianet has announced its latest fiction offering, ‘Kattathe Kilikoodu’, a heartwarming drama that explores the power of resilience, relationships, and the courage to take control of one’s destiny. The show is set to premiere on November 10 and will air every day at 8 pm.
According to a Kerala TV report, ‘Kattathe Kilikoodu’ follows the journey of Nidhi, a bright and ambitious young woman who tops her university with a gold medal in architecture. Despite her academic achievements and dreams of pursuing higher studies abroad, her wealthy father pressures her into marriage. Her fiancé, however, expects her to abandon her ambitions and fit into the role of a traditional housewife a notion Nidhi firmly rejects.
The story takes a turn when Nidhi’s path crosses with Sudheesh, a modest driver living with his father, Bhaskaran a former lorry driver struggling with alcoholism and his three brothers: Subhash, a mason; Hareesh, a mechanic; and Nikesh, a student. The family, once respected, now lives in near isolation due to societal neglect and ongoing legal disputes surrounding their home.
Moved by Nidhi’s emotional turmoil, Sudheesh’s empathy gradually transforms into affection. In a bold act of compassion, he marries her to protect her from being forced into a life she does not want. Nidhi’s arrival into the family marks a powerful transformation — her strength, intellect, and kindness breathe new life into a household long overshadowed by hardship.
‘Kattathe Kilikoodu’ portrays how love grounded in understanding can rebuild broken lives, how compassion can unite a family, and how courage can redefine the meaning of togetherness. With its blend of emotional depth, strong characters, and social relevance, the series promises to strike a chord with audiences.
Viewers can catch ‘Kattathe Kilikoodu’ on Asianet starting November 10, airing every day from Monday to Sunday at 8 pm.
