Ashish Sehgal has taken charge as the new CEO of Times TV Network, while also assuming the role of chief growth officer for Times Media and Entertainment.
Bringing nearly two decades of experience from ZEEL, Sehgal is set to play a key role in expanding the network’s broadcast portfolio, deepening audience engagement, and steering overall business growth across platforms in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
Sehgal announced the move through a LinkedIn update, where he reflected warmly on his long association with Zee. Calling his two decades at the organisation “incredible and truly defining,” he expressed gratitude for the opportunities, milestones and people who shaped his journey. In the post, he also thanked MD Vineet Jain and N. Subramanian for placing their trust in him as he begins a new chapter at Times Media & Entertainment.
Over the years at Zee, Sehgal held several senior leadership roles, eventually serving as chief growth officer where he oversaw broadcast and digital revenue. His journey with the organisation began in 2006 as AVP – Sales (North), followed by responsibilities as network sales head and COO of the consolidated ad-sales arm. His tenure saw him drive strategic initiatives and revenue growth across both broadcast and digital platforms until his departure in August 2025.
Before joining Zee, Sehgal was associated with Star India, where he served as National Head for Star Gold and contributed to the channel’s launch project.
He later managed sales across the network at a PAN-India level and spearheaded properties for Channel V, including VIVA Popstars. His early experience also includes roles with Buena Vista TV and The Times Group, giving him a strong foundation across television and radio media as he steps into his new leadership role at Times TV Network.
