As ‘Four More Shots Please!’ raises a final toast, the International Emmy-nominated Prime Video Original returns for its fourth and concluding season, bringing the journey of Damini, Umang, Anjana and Siddhi to a close with the same emotional honesty and cultural relevance that defined the series from the start. Released at the cusp of the holiday season, the farewell chapter positions itself as a fitting year-end watch for audiences who have grown alongside these characters over the years.
According to a Prime Video press release, Season 4 marks a significant creative transition behind the camera, with Arunima Sharma stepping in as director, alongside long-time collaborator Neha Parti Matiyani as Director-DOP. Rather than attempting to reinvent the show’s world, the final season leans into familiarity, emotional depth and continuity, drawing strength from a universe shaped over time by its creators, cast and crew.
Speaking about working with the core cast, Sharma said one of the greatest strengths of the series lies in its leading women, who have lived with their characters for years. She noted that actors Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo and Bani J know their characters “literally better than the director.” Coming in for the final season, Sharma said she approached the project with humility, allowing space for discussion around what may have happened in the characters’ lives between seasons, while also trusting the actors’ deep understanding. She added that acting-wise, the challenges were minimal and that directing the season was an enjoyable experience.
Director-DOP Neha Parti Matiyani echoed the sentiment, describing the transition into a larger creative role as natural and smooth. Having been part of the show’s ecosystem since its early days, she said the experience felt like a continuation rather than a shift. Matiyani credited the trust placed in her by creators Rangita Pritish Nandy, Ishita Pritish Nandy and PNC, as well as the actors, with making the process seamless. She also shared that the show holds deep emotional value for her, having been a part of her life for nearly a decade, unlike the shorter cycles typical of film projects.
Starring Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo in the lead roles, the final season also sees Prateik Smita Patil, Milind Soman, Rajeev Siddhartha, Lisa Ray and Ankur Rathee reprising their characters. New additions this season include Dino Morea, Anasuya Sengupta and Kunaal Roy Kapur. Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, Four More Shots Please! is created by Rangita Pritish Nandy and Ishita Pritish Nandy, developed and written by Devika Bhagat, with dialogues by Ishita Moitra.
Directed by Arunima Sharma and Neha Parti Matiyani, ‘Four More Shots Please!’ Season 4 is streaming exclusively on Prime Video across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, bringing a long-running, culturally resonant series to a thoughtful and emotionally grounded close.
