Apple TV has announced that its popular sci-fi drama ‘Silo’ will return with its fourth and final season on July 9, 2027. The announcement was made following the Season 3 finale, with Apple also releasing a first look at the final chapter of the series.

According to an Apple TV press release yesterday, the fourth season will mark the end of ‘Silo’ and will bring the story of the series to its conclusion. The show is created by Emmy Award-winning writer Graham Yost and stars Rebecca Ferguson, who also serves as an executive producer.

‘Silo’ is based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling dystopian book series. The story follows a community of around 10,000 people living deep underground in a huge silo. The people inside believe the outside world is dangerous and cannot be lived in, but the series gradually reveals secrets about the silo, its history and the world beyond it.

Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliette Nichols, an engineer who becomes determined to uncover the truth behind the silo and the rules that control its residents. Her character’s journey has been central to the series and will continue into the final season.

Apple had previously renewed ‘Silo’ for both Seasons 3 and 4. At that time, the company confirmed that the fourth season would serve as the final chapter and would complete the adaptation of Hugh Howey’s three-book series.

The third season is now available to stream on Apple TV. With Season 4, the series will conclude its adaptation of Howey’s dystopian trilogy and reveal the final part of Juliette’s story. The final season of ‘Silo’ will premiere globally on Apple TV on July 9, 2027.
