Apple TV has released the trailer for ‘Last Seen’, a new Australian thriller starring Gotham Award winner Patrick Brammall, with the series set to premiere globally on September 9.

The series will debut with two episodes, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through October 7.

Produced by 60Forty Films, ‘Last Seen’ is adapted by writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa from Ryan David Jahn’s CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning book ‘The Dispatcher’. Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow directs and executive produces the series.

Set and filmed entirely in Victoria, Australia, ‘Last Seen’ follows police detective Ian Ridley (Brammall), whose life fell apart 11 years ago after his young daughter Maggie disappeared without a trace.

Now working as a police dispatcher, Ridley remains determined to find his daughter. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is certain is Maggie, he sets out to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost.

The cast also includes Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, Jessica Wren, Tobias Muhafidin and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.

The series is executive produced by Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta at 60Forty Films, along with Schwochow, Mrksa and Joanna Werner at Werner Film Productions.

‘Last Seen’ joins Apple TV’s slate of dramas, which includes ‘Hijack’, ‘Slow Horses’ and ‘Down Cemetery Road’.
