Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has officially announced his 544th film, and this time, he is set to share the screen with Baahubali star Prabhas in an upcoming pan-India movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi.
The film, produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, has already commenced shooting, with its pooja ceremony held in August 2023. While the title remains under wraps, the first-look images revealed last year suggest that the project is an action-packed historical drama.
The ‘Karma’ actor, known for his prolific career spanning multiple film industries including Bollywood, Kollywood, and even Hollywood, took to social media to break the news. Sharing a picture with Prabhas, Kher expressed his excitement about working with the superstar.
He wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: Delighted to announce my 544th untitled film with the #Bahubali of #IndianCinema, the one and only @actorprabhas! The film is directed by the very talented #HanuRaghavapudi! And produced by the wonderful team of @mythriofficial! My very dear friend and brilliant @sudeepchatterjee.isc is the #DOP! कमाल की कहानी है!! और क्या चाहिए लाइफ में दोस्तों! जय हो!”
The film marks Anupam Kher’s return to Telugu cinema, having previously worked in several Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. Recently, he was seen in projects like ‘Vijay 69’, ‘Chhota Bheem’ and the ‘Curse of Damyaan’, and ‘Emergency’.
Meanwhile, Prabhas, who was last seen in the sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, is currently working on films like ‘Raja Saab’ and ‘Kannappa’. The actor is also gearing up to start shooting for ‘Salaar Part 2’.
With Hanu Raghavapudi at the helm—best known for his critically acclaimed film Sita Ramam the upcoming movie is expected to be a visually stunning and emotionally rich cinematic experience.
As fans eagerly await more updates, the first teaser and title reveal are expected in the coming months.
