South superstar Rajnikanth aka Anna’s 1999 movie ‘Padayappa’ has registered the highest TRP of 17.75 in both rural and urban markets combined.
The movie was aired on Sun TV on Sunday, October 31, at 6:30 PM. This is the highest record for a 22-year-old movie, which has also registered a whopping 1, 38, 27000 impressions.
‘Padayappa’ is a family drama, which revolves around an engineer whose father dies of shock after he is defrauded of all property and money.
The movie is helmed by KS Ravikumar, starring Ramya Krishnan, late actors Soundarya and Sivaji Ganesan.
Similarly, Sivakarthikeyan’s recently released film Doctor was also aired on Sun TV on Diwali and scored urban TRP Of 20.4 and rural TRP of 16.82.
