According to trade reports, the film amassed a whopping Rs 283.74 crore domestically, with its fifth day adding a substantial Rs 38.25 crore nett to its triumph,PTI reported from Mumbai.
Kicking off with a tremendous bang, ‘Animal‘ stormed the box office by amassing an astounding Rs 63.8 crore nett on December 1st. The Hindi version alone contributed a formidable Rs 54.75 crore nett to this exceptional opening. The momentum surged into the first Saturday, witnessing a slight uptick as the film garnered Rs 66.27 crore nett. Day 3 witnessed a further ascent, propelling ‘Animal’ to new heights with a collection of Rs 71.46 crore nett.
This Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed action-packed film, also featuring stellar performances by Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles, successfully passed the litmus test of Monday, raking in an impressive Rs 43.96 crore nett.
In a testament to its extraordinary five-day performance, ‘Animal‘ now stands as the second-highest grossing Hindi film of 2023 in terms of domestic collections, trailing just behind the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jawan,’ which amassed a colossal Rs 319 crore nett during the same timeframe.
The triumphant run of ‘Animal’ signifies its immense popularity and the audience’s embrace of its compelling storyline and stellar performances, marking it as a significant milestone in the Hindi film industry’s box office history. With its trajectory pointing towards the Rs 500 crore mark, ‘Animal’ continues to roar as a dominant force in the cinematic landscape.
