Actor Anil Kapoor celebrated 25 years of his film ‘Nayak’ on Monday. The actor shared a video from the film on social media and looked back at his memories of the movie.
According to a PTI report from New Delhi today,directed by S Shankar, ‘Nayak’ was released on September 7, 2001. The film also featured Rani Mukerji and Amrish Puri in important roles.
Kapoor played the role of Shivaji Rao, a common man who becomes the Chief Minister. The film focused on his journey and his efforts to bring change after getting political power.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Kapoor said that what attracted him to the character was not just Shivaji Rao’s journey from a common man to Chief Minister.
He said he was more interested in what Shivaji Rao decided to do after getting power and how he used his position to make a difference in the lives of people.
