Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has joined the voice cast of the highly anticipated animated film ‘Inside Out 2’, lending her voice to the character Riley for the Hindi dubbed version.
The actress shared this exciting update on her social media, expressing her enthusiasm and love for Disney and Pixar animated films, PTI reported.
“These stories transport you to a world that is so entertaining and yet relatable at the same time,” Ananya said in a statement. Reflecting on her fond memories of watching the Oscar-winning first film, she added, “I remember being a teenager myself when I saw ‘Inside Out’ a few years ago and being so mesmerized by this wonderful world of colorful emotions, never imagining in my wildest dreams that one day I would be an integral part of such a novel story! Voicing Riley made me relive so many of my childhood moments and this is the most fun I’ve had at work!”
‘Inside Out 2’ takes viewers back into the mind of the now teenage Riley as Headquarters undergoes a sudden makeover to accommodate new Emotions. The original team of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who have long been running a successful operation, face new challenges when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment arrive at Headquarters.
The English voice cast boasts an impressive lineup, including Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walter Hauser, and Yvette Nicole Brown. Directed by Kelsey Mann, ‘Inside Out 2’ is set to release in theatres on June 14, 2024, in both English and Hindi.
The film is touted to be one of the biggest global releases this year. Various box office reports indicate that it could potentially become one of the highest-earning movies of the year, following the success of the original ‘Inside Out’.
Fans of Ananya Panday and the ‘Inside Out’ franchise can look forward to a captivating performance that promises to bring Riley’s character to life in a new and exciting way for Hindi-speaking audiences.
