Acclaimed filmmaker Alex Garland is set to bring his latest war drama, ‘Warfare’, to Indian audiences, with the film scheduled to release in theatres on April 11.
Known for his thought-provoking films such as ‘Ex Machina’, ‘Annihilation’, ‘Men’, and ‘Civil War’, Garland has co-written and directed ‘Warfare’ in collaboration with Ray Mendoza, a former US Navy SEAL, PTI reported.
The film delves into Mendoza’s real-life experiences, particularly a pivotal mission in Iraq in 2006. Mendoza, who previously served as the military supervisor for Garland’s 2023 film ‘Civil War’, brings firsthand authenticity to the narrative, ensuring a gripping and realistic depiction of modern warfare.
‘Warfare’ is being distributed in India by PVR INOX Pictures, promising Indian audiences an intense and visceral cinematic experience. With Garland’s signature storytelling and Mendoza’s deep military insights, the film is expected to offer a raw, immersive, and thought-provoking look at war and its consequences.
