Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are set to reunite for an untitled comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee. The upcoming project is scheduled to hit theatres on December 4 and is being positioned as a family entertainer for the big screen.
According to a PTI report, the film is being produced by Shirish Reddy and Kuldeep Rathore in association with Cape of Good Films and Sri Venkateswara Creations. The announcement has already generated interest among audiences, especially with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan coming together once again after their earlier successful collaborations.
The cast also includes Raashii Khanna, Vijay Raaz and Sudesh Lehri in key roles. The combination of comedy veterans and popular performers is expected to add to the film’s mass appeal.
The makers have recently wrapped the Kerala shooting schedule, with production currently progressing at a steady pace. While the title and additional plot details are still under wraps, the project is being described as a wholesome comedy designed for audiences across age groups.
The reunion of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan has particularly drawn attention as the duo has shared successful on-screen chemistry in the past. With Anees Bazmee known for delivering commercially successful comedy entertainers, the film is expected to be one of the notable theatrical releases later this year.
