Telugu cinema’s high-octane espionage thriller ‘Agent’, starring Akhil Akkineni, is all set to make its digital debut on SonyLIV. Premiering exclusively on March 14, the action-packed film brings an intense narrative of espionage, deception, and high-stakes missions.
Directed by Surender Reddy, ‘Agent’ follows the journey of a daring RAW recruit caught in a battle against a rogue operative with catastrophic plans.
The film centers around Rickey, played by Akhil Akkineni, an ambitious young agent who dreams of serving his nation under the guidance of his mentor, RAW chief Colonel Mahadev, also known as ‘The Devil.’
However, his mission takes a dangerous turn when he is assigned to track down Dharma, aka ‘The God,’ a former RAW operative-turned-traitor with a sinister plot against India. As the mission spirals into chaos, Rickey finds himself entangled in a web of deceit, power struggles, and unexpected betrayals.
Featuring a stellar ensemble cast, ‘Agent’ also stars veteran actor Mammootty in a pivotal role, alongside Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya, Denzil Smith, and Vikramjeet Virk. The film’s gripping screenplay is penned by Surender Reddy and is based on a story by Vakkantham Vamsi, known for his expertise in crafting action thrillers.
