The highly anticipated trailer of the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ has been unveiled on Monday evening and it takes viewers on a relentless quest to find out the real reason behind Sam’s disappearance.
The almost 2-minute trailer gives a glimpse of being hunted for Sam’s disappearance after seven years. It seems that the case is still pending. Sam’s mother and a former IG, played by Tabu, will never again underestimate this “fourth-fail anpadh” (“class four failed illiterate”).
The investigating officer, Akshaye Khanna, is on the lookout for Vijay’s dishonesty.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is a sequel to the 2015 crime thriller ‘Drishyam’, a Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie of the same name.
The sequel to the Malayalam film was released in February last year.
The story revolves around a family of four whose lives turn upside down following an unfortunate incident that happens to their older daughter.
Devgn will be seen reprising his role of Vijay Salgoankar in the sequel,
‘Drishyam 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey, and Shiv Chanana.
The film, presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios, also features Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta in various roles.
The first part of Hindi ‘Drishyam’ was directed by the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat.
