The ABBY Awards, powered by One Show, renowned for its global influence in the creative industry, has announced the introduction of several new categories for its 2024 edition.
These additions aim to stay abreast of emerging trends and reflect the evolving landscape of advertising and communication.
In a move to recognize the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI), the ABBY Awards have introduced a new sub-category, ‘Best Use of AI’ within both the Digital and Technology Verticals. This addition underscores the increasing integration of AI technologies in creative campaigns and digital innovations.
Furthermore, acknowledging the significance of effective copywriting in web and digital platforms, the ABBY Awards have incorporated ‘Copywriting for Web and Digital Craft’ categories within the Still Digital and Digital Verticals.
Responding to the escalating importance of Health and Wellness communication, the ABBY Awards have introduced a dedicated Health Vertical. This vertical includes sub-categories such as OTC Oral Medicines, OTC Products, Nutraceuticals, and others. Notably, a new accolade, the Health Specialist of the Year award, recognizes outstanding performance by companies within this burgeoning sector.
The Red Abby category has expanded its focus on sustainability, incorporating themes of Sustainable Development and Meaningful Practices, encompassing initiatives related to Climate Action and Responsible Consumption.
Similarly, the Green Abby category, dedicated to planet conservation, now encompasses ‘Life on Land,’ emphasizing the protection of forests and the prevention of ecological destruction.
Ajay Kakar, Chairman of the ABBY Awards, emphasized the importance of reflecting the dynamic changes within the industry. He stated, “The Abby awards are at the forefront of reflecting these changes. And this year is no exception.”
Co-chair Dheeraj Sinha highlighted the significance of the Health Vertical, noting, “Health is a growing business in communication and it is fitting to now have an entire vertical dedicated to it.”
