Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan recently unveiled the title of his upcoming film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ and it promises to echo the themes of his iconic movie, ‘Taare Zameen Par‘.
While the latter was a heartfelt emotional narrative, ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ is poised to be a comedy film brimming with high entertainment value.
Released in 2007, ‘Taare Zameen Par’ received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, while also sparking a significant social awakening regarding dyslexia, IANS reported from Mumbai.
In a recent statement at a media conclave, Khan shed light on his new project: “I have not spoken about it publicly, and I won’t be able to say much now either. But I can reveal the title. The title of the film is ‘Sitare Zameen Par’. You remember my film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, and the name of this film is ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ because we are taking a step forward with the same theme.”
He went on to add, “While ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was an emotional film that brought tears, ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ will make you laugh. The former made you cry, and this one will entertain you. However, the underlying theme remains the same, which is why we chose this name thoughtfully. We all have flaws, weaknesses, but we all also possess something special.”
Khan also disclosed an intriguing twist in his upcoming film: “So, we are continuing with this theme, but this time, the special child’s character—Ishaan in the previous film, whom my character assisted in ‘Taare Zameen Par’—in ‘Sitare Zameen Par,’ those nine boys, each with their unique challenges, help my character. It’s the reverse dynamic.”
Meanwhile, Khan is simultaneously gearing up for several film projects as a producer, promising a diverse range of cinematic experiences for his audience.
