News18 India has announced the fourth edition of its flagship initiative, Amrit Ratna, which will be held on June 17 in New Delhi. The annual platform recognises individuals whose contributions have made a significant impact on society and played a role in shaping India’s growth story across various fields.
According to a News18 India press release, ‘Amrit Ratna 2026’ will honour individuals whose achievements reflect the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ and contribute to the broader goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’. The event aims to celebrate changemakers, visionaries and achievers whose work has left a lasting imprint on the nation.
Over the past three editions, ‘Amrit Ratna’ has established itself as a prominent platform for recognising exceptional Indians from diverse sectors, including public service, industry, sports, arts and social development. The initiative highlights stories of individuals whose efforts have contributed meaningfully to national progress and inspired positive change.
This year’s edition is expected to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, eminent jury members, distinguished guests and award recipients for a day dedicated to celebrating excellence and public impact.
Among the special guests expected to attend the event are Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Kiren Rijiju, Sanjay Seth and Smriti Irani.
The winners have been selected by an eminent jury comprising General V. P. Malik, Ranjan Gogoi, Amitabh Kant and Dr. Randeep Guleria.
Commenting on the initiative, Jyoti Kamal, Managing Editor of News18 India, said the platform reflects the spirit of a rapidly transforming nation by celebrating individuals who challenge boundaries and dedicate themselves to larger causes.
“At News18 India, we see Amrit Ratna as a platform that captures the pulse of a transforming nation. The story of Bharat’s rise is ultimately the story of its people: individuals who dare to dream bigger, push boundaries and dedicate themselves to a cause greater than themselves,” Kamal said.
Mitul Sangani, CEO of News18 Digital and Local18, said the platform has evolved into a respected forum that brings together thought leaders, policymakers and changemakers to discuss India’s growth and future aspirations.
He noted that the credibility of the awards is strengthened by its rigorous selection process and guidance from an accomplished jury, making the honour one of the most anticipated recognitions in the country.
As India continues its journey towards becoming a major global economic and social force, Amrit Ratna 2026 seeks to shine a spotlight on individuals whose achievements and contributions embody the values driving the nation’s development. Through their stories, the platform aims to inspire future generations and celebrate those helping shape the Bharat of tomorrow.
News18 India will provide exclusive coverage and updates from the event throughout the day.
