Mumbai: Malayalam crime thriller ‘Dridam’, presented by Jeethu Joseph, is set to make its digital debut on JioHotstar on June 12. The film will be available for streaming in Malayalam, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
Written by Linto Devasia and Jomon John, ‘Dridam’ is directed by Martin M. Joseph. The film is produced by Katrina Anne Jeethu, Mukesh R. Mehta and C. V. Sarathi under the banners of E4 Experiments and Bedtime Stories.
The crime thriller revolves around Sub-Inspector Vijay Radhakrishnan, portrayed by Shane Nigam, who is newly posted to the village of Kuzhinilam. What begins as a routine assignment quickly turns into a complex investigation when an unidentified body is discovered in the area.
As Vijay delves deeper into the case, he encounters a web of secrets, mysteries and unexpected developments that challenge his instincts as a police officer. With each new revelation, the pressure mounts on him to uncover the truth behind the crime and bring those responsible to justice.
The film features an ensemble cast including Shobi Thilakan, Kottayam Ramesh, Dinesh Prabhakar, Krishna Prabha, Nandan Unni and Saniya Fathima in key roles.
The technical team includes cinematographer P. M. Unnikrishnan, while editing duties have been handled by V. S. Vinayak.
With its blend of suspense, investigation and dramatic twists, ‘Dridam’ aims to appeal to fans of crime thrillers and mystery-driven narratives. The backing of Jeethu Joseph, known for acclaimed thrillers, is also expected to generate interest among viewers.
Following its theatrical run, the film will now look to reach a wider audience through its multilingual release on JioHotstar, making it accessible to viewers across India.
