Varun Dhawan’s latest film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has made a strong start at the box office, earning Rs.41.99 crore worldwide in its opening weekend.
Released on June 5, the film is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Tips Films. It also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur alongside Varun Dhawan.
According to a PTI report, the film collected Rs 10.20 crore on its opening day in India. It then earned Rs 10.74 crore on the second day and Rs 12.70 crore on the third day, helping it post a solid first weekend total.
The movie is also notable as the final directorial venture of David Dhawan, who announced his retirement last month.
