Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official trailer for ‘The End of Oak Street’, an upcoming science-fiction thriller starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas across India in August 2026 and will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, including IMAX screenings.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into a mysterious and unsettling story centered around the Platt family, whose lives are turned upside down after a strange cosmic event. What begins as an ordinary existence in a suburban neighborhood quickly transforms into a fight for survival when Oak Street is suddenly ripped away from its familiar surroundings and transported to an unknown world.
As the family struggles to understand what has happened, they are forced to confront unfamiliar dangers and navigate an environment that bears little resemblance to the life they once knew. The story follows their efforts to stay together and survive as they face a series of challenges in a reality that appears both mysterious and hostile.
Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway and acclaimed actor Ewan McGregor lead the cast, with Maisy Stella and Christian Convery playing key roles. The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, known for his distinctive approach to suspense and genre storytelling.
The project also boasts a strong production team, with filmmaker J.J. Abrams serving as producer alongside Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson and Tommy Harper. Executive producers include Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee and Leeann Stonebreaker.
Behind the scenes, the film brings together several notable creative talents. Michael Gioulakis serves as director of photography, while Maya Shimoguchi handles production design. The editing is by John Axelrad, with Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino creating the film’s score. Costume design is led by Erin Benach.
Produced by Bad Robot Productions and Jackson Pictures in association with David Robert Mitchell’s production team, ‘The End of Oak Street’ combines elements of science fiction, mystery and family drama. The trailer hints at a visually ambitious cinematic experience, with themes of survival, resilience and human connection at its core.
Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film worldwide. With its intriguing premise, star-studded cast and creative team, ‘The End of Oak Street’ is shaping up to be one of the notable theatrical releases of 2026 when it arrives exclusively in cinemas and IMAX screens across India this August.
