Times Network has appointed Nivesh Agarwal as Senior Editor (Editorial & Content), strengthening its editorial leadership team with a seasoned media professional who brings over 15 years of experience across television journalism, editorial strategy and media management.
In his new role, Agarwal will lead Guest Relations and Media Relations for Times Now and Times Now Navbharat. He will also oversee a range of strategic editorial initiatives and special projects across the network, contributing to the growth and expansion of its content and engagement efforts.
The appointment marks Agarwal’s return to Times Network, making it his second stint with the organization. Having previously worked with the network earlier in his career, he now rejoins at a senior leadership level with extensive experience gained across some of India’s leading news organizations.
Agarwal joins Times Network from CNN-News18, where he headed Guest Relations and Media Relations. During his tenure, he played a key role in the execution of several of the network’s flagship intellectual properties (IPs), events and special editorial initiatives. His work involved managing stakeholder relationships, guest engagement and supporting the delivery of high-impact programming.
Over the years, Agarwal has built a strong reputation in editorial outreach, guest acquisition, media relations and large-scale event execution. His experience spans multiple leading news networks, including Aaj Tak, India Today, Times Now, CNN-News18, Zee Media, NewsX and India News.
Notably, he spent nearly seven years with the India Today Group across two successful tenures, where he contributed significantly to editorial engagement, guest management and the development of impactful content and programming initiatives. His extensive industry network and understanding of the news ecosystem have made him a respected figure in broadcast media.
A journalism graduate by qualification, Agarwal also holds a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations and Marketing from YMCA, along with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. His academic background provides him with a multidisciplinary understanding of media, communications, public affairs and stakeholder management.
With a career that combines editorial expertise, strategic communications and event leadership, Agarwal is expected to play an important role in further strengthening Times Network’s editorial engagement efforts and special programming initiatives across its news brands.
His return comes at a time when news networks are increasingly focusing on audience engagement, thought leadership platforms and high-impact editorial properties, areas in which Agarwal has built considerable experience throughout his career.
