Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z) has appointed Shipra Wahi as the Chief Sales Officer for ZEE5, strengthening the company’s digital advertisement revenue leadership as it sharpens its focus on scaling monetisation and expanding its digital business.
Shipra Wahi will lead the strategic revenue function for ZEE5 across sales, strategy, and operations. Based out of the company’s Noida office, she will report to Sandeep Mehrotra, Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue.
The appointment comes at a time when ZEE is working towards building a stronger growth trajectory for its digital streaming platform. The company is focusing on unlocking new monetisation opportunities while enhancing profitability in its digital segment through content investments, advertising innovation, and improved user experiences.
ZEE said its efforts to strengthen ZEE5’s content slate and platform experience have helped create positive momentum for the OTT platform, with the company now looking to further scale its advertiser ecosystem and digital revenue streams.
Commenting on the appointment, Sandeep Mehrotra said the digital advertising landscape is evolving rapidly, with brands increasingly seeking integrated and data-driven advertising solutions across platforms. He noted that strengthening ZEE5’s monetisation strategy remains a priority as the company looks to drive sustainable digital growth.
Mehrotra added that Shipra Wahi’s deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and her experience in building high-impact revenue strategies would play a crucial role in expanding ZEE5’s advertising capabilities and creating a future-ready sales ecosystem.

She said her focus would be on leveraging the platform’s strong market presence to create impactful advertising ecosystems and deepen engagement with advertisers and partners.
Wahi brings more than two decades of experience across sectors including financial services, e-commerce, consulting, and consumer technology. Over the course of her career in India and the Middle East, she has worked with global companies such as Citi, AT Kearney, Amazon, and Meta.
Prior to joining ZEE, she was associated with Meta, where she played a key role in building and scaling creator partnerships while driving strategic growth within the creator economy. Her experience spans partnerships, monetisation, digital ecosystems, and growth strategy across consumer and technology-driven businesses.
The company also highlighted that it has created a unified and integrated advertisement revenue structure under Sandeep Mehrotra to capitalise on the increasing convergence across media platforms and unlock new revenue opportunities.
