‘India’s Best Dancer’ is set to return with its fifth season on Sony Entertainment Television from June 6 at 9.30pm. Promising a bigger celebration of dance, emotions and Bollywood nostalgia, the new season introduces the theme ‘India Wala Dance’, bringing together performances inspired by iconic Bollywood music and storytelling.
According to an SET press release, the latest season will feature an impressive judging panel comprising Karisma Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. The combination of experienced performers and choreographers is expected to add both entertainment and technical expertise to the competition.
This season will focus heavily on celebrating Bollywood’s timeless connection with dance, music and emotions. Contestants from across the country will showcase performances that blend nostalgia with fresh choreography styles while representing different cultural backgrounds and personal stories.
The show will also mark the return of Haarsh Limbachiyaa as host. Known for his humour and energetic stage presence, Haarsh is expected to bring his signature style back to the reality show format, adding light-hearted moments alongside the emotional journeys of contestants.
Produced by Frames Production Company, the new season promises a mix of powerful performances, emotional storytelling and large-scale entertainment. The makers have positioned Season 5 as a tribute to Bollywood’s dance legacy while also giving a platform to new talent discovered from different corners of India.
The show’s concept of ‘India Wala Dance’ aims to connect audiences across generations by celebrating dance forms and performances rooted in popular Indian cinema culture. Alongside the performances, the contestants’ personal struggles, ambitions and journeys are expected to remain a major emotional element of the season.
‘India’s Best Dancer’ S5 will premiere on June 6, 2026, on Sony Entertainment Television and will also stream on Sony LIV.
