Tata Play Binge has expanded its micro-drama offering ‘Shots’ by onboarding Pocket Films, strengthening its push into short-format, mobile-first content.
The move brings a mix of micro-dramas and short films to the platform as part of its ad-supported catalogue. With this addition, Shots now features over 210 micro-dramas and more than 220 hours of short-format content spanning Hindi and regional languages, further diversifying its storytelling formats.
The integration of Pocket Films builds on the existing ecosystem, which already includes partners such as Bullet and STAGE. The service continues to remain accessible within the Tata Play Binge app, offering users a seamless viewing experience.
Designed for digital-first audiences, Shots follows a vertical video format with a scroll-friendly interface and auto-next playback, aligning with evolving consumption habits. The feature is accessible via homepage rails as well as a dedicated section within the app, making discovery and engagement more intuitive.
Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer at Tata Play, said the platform is focused on offering fresh and engaging content while enabling partners to reach wider audiences, especially as short-format storytelling gains momentum across the country.
Sameer Mody, Founder and Managing Director of Pocket Films, noted that the collaboration provides an opportunity to take its diverse catalogue to a more engaged viewer base, while also supporting its vision of making culturally relevant stories more accessible in a fast-consumption format.
Shots is part of Tata Play Binge’s broader OTT aggregation ecosystem, which hosts multiple streaming platforms, allowing users to access a wide range of content through a single interface across smart TVs, set-top boxes, streaming devices, and web platforms.
