Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has announced the broadcast schedule for S5 of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20), with the tournament set to begin on November 22, 2026, and conclude with the final on December 20 at the Dubai International Stadium.
The announcement, made via a company update, confirms that the six-team tournament will feature 34 matches, continuing its positioning as one of the most-watched T20 leagues globally. The matches will be aired live across Zee’s linear television network and its OTT platform ZEE5, ensuring wide accessibility for cricket fans across India.
Season 5 follows the league’s successful shift to a December window in its previous edition. Season 4 witnessed strong growth in both broadcast numbers and on-ground attendance, culminating in a packed final where Desert Vipers clinched their maiden title with a 46-run victory over MI Emirates.
Sandeep Mehrotra, Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue at Zee Entertainment, said the network is looking to build on the momentum of rising viewership and fan engagement. He added that the focus remains on delivering an immersive experience through a seamless blend of broadcast and digital platforms, while also exploring the possibility of showcasing the league on upcoming dedicated sports channels.
From the league’s perspective, CEO David White highlighted the continued growth trajectory of ILT20, noting that Season 4 recorded 397 million unique viewers across TV and OTT platforms, reflecting a 7.49 percent increase over the previous season. He added that strategic partnerships with cricket bodies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are expected to further strengthen the league’s ecosystem, with development tournaments planned ahead of the new season.
The previous edition also featured standout individual performances, including Sam Curran, who was named Player of the Tournament and Best Batter, Waqar Salamkheil as Best Bowler, and Muhammad Waseem as Best UAE Player.
ILT20 continues to attract global cricketing talent, with Season 4 squads featureng prominent names such as Andre Russell, Moeen Ali, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, and Kieron Pollard, among others.
With the new season window confirmed and preparations underway, Zee and ILT20 are aiming to further expand the league’s reach and strengthen its standing in the global T20 ecosystem.
