Mukesh Chhabra’s debut production ‘Gudgudi’ is set to be screened at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in his career as a producer. The film has been officially selected under the Marche du Film segment, offering it a prominent platform at one of the world’s most prestigious film markets.
According to an ANI report, the selection comes as a major moment not just for Chhabra but also for Indian cinema, highlighting the growing global recognition of homegrown storytelling and talent. The filmmaker expressed gratitude at seeing his vision reach such an esteemed international stage, calling it a proud and emotional milestone.
Directed by Manisha Makwana, the film features Ahsaas Channa in the lead role. ‘Gudgudi’ marks Chhabra’s first production venture, adding a new dimension to his already established career in casting, where he has been associated with several notable projects.
Sharing his thoughts, Chhabra described the Cannes selection as a “dream come true,” emphasising the importance of the platform in showcasing Indian creative capability on a global scale.
